Christmas is a magical time to try out new recipes with family and friends, make your first sales, or offer themed cakes to your customers if you already have a business. Now is the perfect moment to start planning.

After these two classes, you’ll know exactly how to recreate this charming cake decoration. You’ll also learn my flawless gingerbread recipe and how to build this adorable mini house that lights up.

Not only is it absolutely gorgeous, but it’s also a fun activity to do with kids. My girls love it!

Who's your instructor

Hello! I’m Carol Ravagnani, cake designer and the founder of alice+rosa cake design.

I specialised in buttercream for its practicality and versatility, and everything I create—recipes, methods, and designs—reflects my journey as a mother and business owner.

I started making cakes during my maternity leave as an “escape” from the challenges of motherhood and to supplement my income from a part-time job. It wasn’t easy—I often worked late at night while my daughters were asleep.

My love for baking quickly transformed into a business and a career. Over time, my cake decorating style evolved from the need to create something beautiful yet simple. I wanted my cakes to have a visual impact that set them apart from others, but as a busy mother with limited time, they also needed to be easy to make.

Today, my mission is to teach and mentor women around the world who are in the same place I was 10 years ago—juggling motherhood while building something meaningful. We’ve created a supportive, encouraging community of like-minded women, and I hope you’ll join us.
